As the lead product designer for Digikala's logistics division, my role in designing the DigiExpress Rider App was to make improvement on current app and find pain points of riders and come up with solutions . This case study outlines the design process, challenges faced, and solutions implemented to create an intuitive and efficient app for our riders.
To gain insights into the existing workflow and designing new one, I conducted a thorough analysis of the current delivery process. This involved mapping out the journey of a typical delivery rider, from receiving parcel from delivery center (DC) to completing deliveries
afterwards, I designed new workflow based on founded pain points and also the business concerns like frauds
I began the design process by creating wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to map out the app's structure and flow. These early-stage designs focused on establishing the basic layout and navigation patterns, ensuring a logical and intuitive user experience.
Iteration was a key aspect of the design process, with frequent feedback sessions involving both internal stakeholders and target users. This iterative approach allowed us to refine and improve the app's design based on real-world usage scenarios and user feedback, ensuring that the final product met the needs and expectations of our riders.
Designing the DigiExpress Rider App was a challenging yet rewarding endeavor that required a deep understanding of user needs, iterative design practices, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. By focusing on usability, functionality, and visual appeal, we created an app that not only met the needs of our riders but also set a new standard for parcel delivery logistics in the Digikala.
