Challenges

Solutions

Different news channels provide different analyzes of the market, and this causes a waste of time and confusion for the users
- Collecting important news from reliable news agencies
- develop customized news based on users favorite news channels
Many stock market activists trade on other markets as well, and they want to know about news and real-time data
- categorize the news and real-time data based on markets like crypto, forex

Why design thinking method?

In Iran, the lack of reliable data on financial market users and related activities has been a major challenge for me. To address this issue, I adopted the design thinking approach to understand users' needs and behaviors.

Research

competitor analysis

starting by listing the features. strengths and weaknesses of existing apps and best practices to analyze their value propositions in order to identify gaps and opportunities of market.

takeaway

Based on my analysis of Iranian financial market apps, the following are key takeaways:
- lack effective categorization of news
- Many of these apps offer similar features
- don't cover all of the financial markets like crypto and forex

Find Users

I divided my statistical Society based on how many years in the financial market and the amount of money they put in market
Based on this classification, I was sure that I did not miss any users
To gain a deeper understanding of our users' needs, I conducted user interviews and surveys. my research aimed to uncover the following insights:
- The sources our users typically read, watch, and follow to stay informed about the financial market.
- How our users interact with financial news, including how they consume and process information.
- The ways in which our users make decisions based on financial news and analysis.

user research result:

- my assumption was true and sections 2 & 3 read news more than the other two
- Users tend to prefer news that is easy to understand and digest, with clear and concise analysis that highlights the most important information.
- Users may face challenges when it comes to accessing reliable and up-to-date information on the Iranian financial market, and may be hesitant to trust some sources due to concerns about accuracy and bias.
- Users may be interested in features such as alerts and notifications that keep them up-to-date on breaking news and changes in the market.

Persona

I gained valuable insights that informed the creation of user personas. These insights enabled me to identify patterns and pain points, as well as gain a deeper understanding of our users and their needs.

wireframe

After creating initial wireframes for our platform, we gathered valuable insights and feedback from users, which allowed us to make significant changes to the design and features we should use.
Based on feedback from our user tests, we made the following improvements:
- Shortening the flow for adding favorite news channels to make the process more efficient.
- Improving the user experience by allowing users to access the stock details page directly from the news article they are reading.

User testing

At this stage, me and business team made a decision to focus on creating a high-fidelity design with a minimum set of features. The rationale behind this decision was to enable us to test the core functionality of the platform with users before adding additional features.
This approach allowed us to ensure that the product was meeting the needs of our target audience , and identify any areas for improvement before investing significant resources in additional features. By testing the platform with users, we were able to gather valuable feedback and insights that helped us to refine and optimize the product.

User flow

I outlined the key features and functionality of our product. These user stories provided a clear and concise way to communicate the value of our platform to stakeholders and development teams.

Learned

Through the design thinking process that included competitor analysis, user research, wireframing, and user testing, we were able to create a platform that meets the needs of our target audience and provides a seamless and intuitive experience.
The iterative approach we took to designing and testing the platform allowed us to identify areas for improvement and refine the product based on user feedback. This approach also enabled us to add new features and functionality gradually, ensuring that each addition was tested and validated with users before being implemented.
